Today is Friday, December 25th
Jesus is born!
Mery Christmas!
We can learn from everything
On Saturday we released the 2020 Christmas movie: Eleazar, the fourth Wise King.
There are many people who have made this wonderful gift that we make to the baby Jesus and to our families possible.
But we haven’t made a movie for fun. Without a doubt, we have had fun, but there is much more behind each character, each song, each conversation.
Today we share a didactic guide with topics to talk and work with our children or students, looking at the educational content of the Christmas Movie.
Christmas Tree Activities
We can do so many things for Christmas with the little ones!
Well, with the little ones… Or with everyone!
Today we give you some activities related to the Christmas Tree.
We light the third candle!
Today, you are doing the microcontent: you have to light the third candle of the Advent Wreath together, as a family.
Have a nice Sunday!
Today we are going to the movies
Well, actually the cinema is coming to our homes!
Today is the GREAT DAY:
The premiere of the Christmas Musical Film of Viaró:
«Eleazar, el cuarto Rey Mago»
This is the great present of all staff and students to all our families and, above all, to Jesus, Who is going to be born.
Today at 4:00 PM, you have a date: get your popcorn ready, this is about to begin!
As easy as that
In yesterday’s post we talked about helping, about giving oneself to others.
If you saw the Viaró Christmas Solidarity Campaign, you could discover that this year it has two initiatives: collecting food for families in Sant Cugat and Barcelona and collaborating with the Kangemi Food Programme (Kenya).
Did you know that with € 40 you can make a child get a strong meal a day for a whole year?
As easy as that
Time to give (yourself)
Advent is also a time to give and to give oneself.
And to give yourself first you have to empty yourself: eliminate what fails, drop what weighs and give what is left over.
Only then can we fill ourselves – and we are not talking about Christmas meals – celebrating the Birth of Jesus.
How can you give yourself to others? Look for an initiative!
It’s coming…
The coming of Jesus is near… And the presentation of Viaró’s Christmas Film is also near!
The film is the present of all staff and students to Jesus and to all our families.
Watch the trailer! And save the date: Saturday, 12th December
It’s coming…e
Today is a big day!
While we prepare for the coming of Jesus, the best thing we can do is to be with Her Mother.
Today we will try to remember Virgin Mary and for that we would like to share this song with you.
How does she help you and guide you in your everyday life? Thank Her today!
Music at home
We all listen to music… Don’t we?
In the same home many different music tastes can live together.
What is clear is that in Christmas there has to be music: it helps us get into these holidays, it creates unique moments, and it even brings us to pray.
Even if we are still in Advent time, we encourage you to listen to the messages hidden in music: we are expecting the arrival of our Saviour.
We light the second candle!
Today, you are doing the microcontent: you have to light the second candle of the Advent Wreath together, as a family.
Have a nice Sunday!
About Advent
As we have entered Advent time, it’s time to dig deeper.
In theseholidays, we suggest you listen to and meditate on this audio of St. Josemaría about Advent.

All or nothing!
Today’s microcontent is longer than the previous ones… But it’s worth it!
It tells a story of fights and conflicts… and one of a total donation. Sister Clare left everything to follow her calling, and the summary os her life is this sentence:
«All or nothing!»

A Christmas song sculpted by Mayné
At the «Zas!» Christmas Festival from 2015 there was possibly one of the most beautiful Christmas songs of Viaró. The author of the lyrics explains that he was working on the script while he was spending a few days in Torreciudad and that he was having a hard time finding a way to tell the story of the Holy Family of Nazareth with the music of «The living years» by Mike Rutterford.
He says that one afternoon he went up to the Sanctuary of the Virgin; there was no one. He sat down worried because he could not find the words of that song and, suddenly, he raised his eyes to the magnificent Mayné altarpiece and realized that the lyrics he was looking for «were all written in that sculptural relief: a stanza in each panel.»
You can check it by listening to the Christmas carol (in the Catalan or Spanish version) contemplating, how that scriptwriter did, the altarpiece of the main altar of the Torreciudad Sanctuary.
Never give up
They say there were four Kings of the East and not three. What actually happened is that one of them got lost because he followed a wrong star… «Eleazar el cuarto Rey Mago», the Christmas Festival of 1995, started this way.
Today, 25 years later, we have re-made that story completely, but we have kept the most important: Eleazar, even if he was totally lost, never gave up until he finally found Jesus in Bethlehem. And this is not a spoiler: it’s a life of effort and perseverance.
Think about yourself: what is your goal in life? Reflect on it today!

Things, things and more things
In this time of the year, we receive a lot of impacts and stimuli that invite us to buy, wish for and want more and more… THINGS.
How do we treat things? Are we materialistic? Do we have too many things?
Today we would like to share with you an article of our Viaró Infantil blog, which will help you manage… THINGS.
The eyes of the soul
Advent is the time to look within oneself, but it is also the time to look more and better at others.
How important are the eyes, especially since we have to wear masks! The eyes express and listen, feel and encourage, smile and love.
How do we look at others? At this time, let us look with the eyes of the soul.
We light the first candle!
Advent begins and we light the first candle of the Wreath, a beautiful tradition that we encourage you to live as a family.
If you still don’t have your wreath ready, here is a video of the Advent Wreath Workshop that we did in Viaró Infantil.
